Eddie Jones named his squad for the Autumn Internationals this morning and there were some notable exclusions; Arguably the best player in the league so far this season Danny Cipriani has been overlooked again! Also with the back row options severely depleted by Injury, there was no call up again for Don Armand. Armand can play 6,7 or 8 and has been one of the stand out performers in the league in the last two seasons. Jones has previously stated the squad is based on form but on the basis of today’s squad; that can no longer be claimed to be true.
Here are some of the tweets reacting to today’s announcement:
I shouldn't be, but I'm genuinely surprised to see no Don Armand in England's squad today.

He was brought in last 6N when Vunipola & Hughes were injured & Zach Mercer was out with a chest infection.
Not sure if that says more about Jones' thoughts on Armand or Exeter's system.
Genuinely don't know what Don Armand has to do to get in the England squad.

Poor bloke.
Dancing outside Eddie's house, wearing nipple tassels, might be the only option.
Don Armand, Danny Cipriani and Alex Goode continue to show that being one of the best in your position and having good form means nothing when it comes to being selected by Eddie Jones #rugbyunited

For everybody crying over Don Armand and Danny Cipriani. Stop. Not necessary.

England lose next three tests ➡️ Eddie gone before the year is out ➡️ new coach comes in ➡️ Don Armand and Danny Cipriani start for England at the 6 Nations and then World Cup#rugbyunited @RugbyEng
It's very hard for an England coach to say 'I just don't like him, or her,' but nor should they pretend an omission is based on form, when it can't be. We're talking Danny Cipriani here.
